Step 1A – Log into DOL
Log in to your Secure Access Washington (SAW) account, which you should have for your license. Click “Access Now” on Professional and Business Licensing.
Step 1B – Locate License
If you do not see “Access Now“, skip this step.
Click “Add Service” Select from a list of services by name.
Scroll down to DOL Professional and Business Licensing and click “Apply“. Then click “Access Now” on DOL Professional and Business Licensing as seen in the image at the top.
Once you have accessed Professional and Business Licensing, click “Link License” and follow the prompts. Note: you can find your broker license number by searching by your current name on DOL License Lookup.
Step 2A – Separate your license on DOL
Here you can manage your license. Click “Manage Existing Professional License” in order to find the place where you can separate from your current brokerage.
Step 2B – Locate your license number
You should now see your license number in the bottom left corner. Click on this number.
Step 2C – Confirm Separation
Now scroll down and you should see your license number with a checkbox on the left. Click the checkbox, then click “Separate License” on the right.
Step 3 – Accept Invitation to Join
Notify the Designated Broker, Darin Robertson, at 425-466-1557 after you have separated with your previous brokerage. Aqua will send an invitation in the DOL to add your license after you have separated. Once we have sent you should get an invitation to join.
You can find the invitation by clicking “Home” in the top left corner while you are logged in. Click “Accept” and you’re done!
Step 4 – NWMLS
NWMLS Members
If you are a member of NWMLS, AQUA will submit a transfer request with your LAG number. If your previous broker has already removed you on NWMLS this will be instant, otherwise it may take up to 24 hours for NWMLS to verify the DOL info.
Non-NWMLS Members
You will need to create a membership. Contact the NWMLS to set up a new member orientation. NWMLS has several offices in the region. Click the link below to find the one closest to you.
CBA Office Transfer
If you’re a member of the Commercial Broker Association (CBA)—useful if you list commercial properties—your AQUA can transfer you by submitting a roster change firm. Just let Darin Robertson know you need this done.
Firm-Licensee Agreement
AQUA will send you paperwork for signing. We will send you a DocuSign packet which includes a credit card form (so we get paid), direct deposit and W9 forms (so you get paid).
