The Beaver Lake area of Sammamish is located eastern side of the city of Sammamish. Neighborhoods within the area are known for tall firs, larger lots, and winding streets. At the heart of the neighborhood, Beaver Lake, offers many outdoor activities. Fishing, swimming, picnics at the park, hiking, and sports fields are just some of the activities one can do at Beaver Lake Park. As one would assume, the lake is a natural lake named after the beavers that populated the area. Today, the lake is a popular fishing spot for area homeowners and visitors.
The Lodge at Beaver Lake is a log building, located within the park that can be used for weddings, meeting and private affairs. Another famous local event, Nightmare, hosted annually at the park every fall, scares children and adults alike.
